First blog post

Wow - the pressure! It feels like my first blog should be really profound - for posterity. But I'm just testing. I hope you're not too let down.

I'm working to keep up with new technology and this is my first foray into blogging.

Topics I will post about include - my kid, of course!; EMS; cooking; direct marketing fundraising; homeless kids; family... Is the list eclectic or just plain nuts? Time will tell.
